Welcome to The Daily Scribblers’ Club, a membership group dedicated to helping you write more often through accountability, community, and inspiration.

THE SCHEDULE

Mondays through Thursdays, we meet at 7 am ET for our Daily CoWrites. On Thursdays at 4:30 pm ET, we gather for what we like to refer to as a Writing ThrowDown. On the second Monday of each month at 6:30 pm ET, we meet for our Writers’ BootCamp. And, on the last Monday of the month at 6:30 pm ET, we get together for our Writing Circle.

THE CLUB

Joining the club gives you access to our monthly Writing Circle and Writers’ BootCamp, our weekly Thursday ThrowDowns, and our daily CoWrites.

1. The Writing Circle

The TDSC Writing Circle offers you a safe space to read an excerpt of your current writing project to a limited number of supportive, fellow scribblers.

When does the Writing Circle take place?

This virtual gathering takes place on the final Monday* of each month from 6:30 to 8pm ET. (*Subject to change if it falls on a holiday weekend.)

What happens at a Writing Circle?

During this 90-minute meet-up, we start with a round table. Members share either their accomplishments or challenges of the previous month. Next, we each read a passage (up to 500 words) from something we’re currently working on with a clear directive about what kind of feedback we want. We end the gathering with a look forward by stating our intentions for the coming month.

How does the Writing Circle benefit you?

This group experience provides you with community, support, and inspiration. It can also motivate you to move forward with your projects. Ultimately, it offers you a safe space to read your writing aloud and spread your wings as an author.

2. The BootCamp

The BootCamp is a high intensity virtual write-in. I take you through your paces using a quick-fire, timed-writing approach that allows us multiple prompt-based free writes over a short period of time.

When does the BootCamp take place?

This 6:30-8 pm writing session is held on the second Monday* of each month. (*Subject to change if it falls on a holiday weekend.)

What happens during BootCamp?

During our monthly BootCamp, we complete four 8-minute prompt-based free writes in a row. Afterwards, participants are given the opportunity to read what they wrote. Members can always choose not to read their writing, if they prefer.

How does a BootCamp benefit you?

This is a great opportunity to replenish your writing bank and be inspired by others.

3. The Thursday ThrowDown

Despite its title, the ThrowDown is a less intense version of the BootCamp. We still use the timed-writing approach, but keep it to just one prompt-based free write.

When does the Thursday ThrowDown take place?

This 45-minute virtual writing session is held every Thursday of the month at 4:30 pm ET.

What happens during the ThrowDown?

During this weekly writing opportunity, we start with a 10-minute free-write based on a more complex writing prompt than those used for the BootCamp, and then share the results with the group. Members can always choose not to share their writing.

How does the ThrowDown benefit you?

This is a great opportunity to replenish your writing bank, be inspired by others, and become part of an encouraging and supportive community of daily scribblers.

4. The CoWrite

During these 60-minute virtual sessions, we start and end with a group check in. In between, we mute our microphones, turn off our cameras, and focus on our personal writing projects for about 40-minutes.

When do they take place?

Our current co-write schedule includes Mondays through Thursdays at 7 am ET.

How many cowriting opportunities are there each month?

You can come to one or all of our four CoWrites a week, which comes to a grand total of sixteen accountability opportunities a month!

How do co-writing sessions benefit you?

CoWrites help you remain motivated and add accountability to your writing practice. Moreover, you gain community and feel less alone. The truth is writers write better with other writers.
